A unique Final Engineering Prototype (FEP) Pre-Production Sample of the Jingle action figure from the series of toys based on the classic Rankin Bass Christmas claymation originally produced by Palisades Toys, then later produced by NECA. This sample came from a review of textures that were added in the 11th hour to the jacket, and so the watch was not attached. It was already reviewed on earlier unpainted and painted pre-pro samples. An FEP sample is typically from the last rounds of pre-production, used to review all the changes that have been made during earlier stages.

Generally FEP are sent for review fully painted, though some are sent unpainted or dusted if engineering is the primary reason for the production review. This item is molded out of various grey and black plastics.

FEP samples in preliminary packaging mock-ups are also a part of this process. Typically FEP have legal lines added and textures applied. Some joints might have tightness/looseness issues and some might be permanently fused and not articulate. Rare for this to occur on FEP but it does happen.

Minor plastic pre-production issues can occur on FEP marbling, flashing, etc. , but these are typically removed by this point. Prototypes do not usually include retail packaging, and none is included here.
