Vintage German Candy Container Snowman With Black Top Hat

  

Wonderful Snowman Candy Container features: a Black Top Hat; painted facial features; cute red berry nose; faded silk bow at neck; attached'springy' arms with red berries. Made of a cardboard covered with plaster. Body Covered in Coralene Beads. Head removes from body to reveal a secret compartment for notes, candy, small gifts, jewelry, etc. Stamped on base:'Made in Germany US - Zone.

Snowman measures approximately 6.5" tall x 3.5" wide at base, opening for candy container is 0.75 wide. Wear consistent with age: missing some Coralene Bead; light paint on left eye; rubs on red berry nose; faded blue silk bow at neck; small pole to the right of top button (see last photo); berries at the end of the springs are crushed.
