Vintage 1950s 6' Plywood Santa Claus with Lantern Original & Overall Excellent

  

Plywood Santa Claus Holding Lantern. 68 to top of head.

72 to top of hand holding lantern. 31 wide from right shoulder to right side of lantern. All surfaces maintain full color and sheen. The paint has vertical cracks around the right shoulder and right side of his beard as clearly indicated in one photo--but these cracks are not flaking and not vulnerable to increased cracking or separation. In fact, the paint will not flake even after brushing across the surface with your hand.

There are no other areas of cracking or significant wear and there does not appear to be any signs of touch-up painting or repairs. The two horizontal bars on the back are for vertical wood supports (not included) for freestanding display. We have owned the Santa for over 30 years and it was displayed indoors for several years only then stored. A Christmas light is often hung behind the lantern to glow through its plastic cover.
