This santa is so cute. Condition is pretty good his outfit is a little faded. The banner he is holding is also faded.
I can see it was dark blue now it's a light gray color. It reads italia di soc navigazione. Looking it up i got this off the internet in 1921 Transoceanica Societa Italiana di Navigazione and Societa Commerciale Italiana and their fleets were absorbed into NGI and in 1932 NGI and Lloyd Sabaudo, with Cosulich Line combined to form a new company named ITALIA. And provides clear installation instructions.
Since the banner reads italia the item isn't older than 1932. There is a string on his hat so it may have been folded over to the side of his face, which would look better.
He probably had a belt buckle which is gone now. Other than that he looks really nice. Size not counting his hat is about 7 inches.
