Very Old German Santa Claus/Belsnickle. In very good used condition. This wonderful Santa Claus/ Belsnickle was made from paper masque, probably in the area around Sonneberg / Roda, in 1861. Special features include the great Christmas tree with bows and candles, the facial expression that could not be more suitable for a Santa Claus and also the hand-painted little dolls which he has left and right in his coat pockets. The fur on the coat is probably made of horsehair.

He gave many children in Germany Christmas candy, which he hides under his coat (candy container). Now he is ready for a great trip around Christmas 2021 to bring joy back to many people.
