Antique GERMAN SANTA CLAUS Candy Container Rare Blue Wood Cutter

  

This is an antique Santa Claus candy container made in Germany. This Santa is known as the Wood Cutter. He is a nice size and measures just shy of 12 in. Santa's head, hands and boots are composition. He has a wonderful hand painted face with expression lines, and rabbit fur hair and beard.

Santa wears a rare blue felt coat and hood trimmed with fleece. He has flannel pants and carries a nice feather tree. His candy container is marked Germany. Santa has minor wear and a couple of paint chips on his hands.
