And his hat is not attached to his head. The last picture shows his hat pushed back to expose his face.
I assume he originally came with a belt, which is missing. He does stand but is shown leaning against the wall in the photos because he tends to fall forward.
A bit of manipulating of his stuffing will resolve that issue. I particularly love the wry expression on his face, and the fact that the artist bothered to make his skin'wrinkled' in appearance, something I have not seen in other antique mask face santas.
