Amazing Life Size Santa Claus Created by J&T Designs and Imaginations ca. 2000
Nicholas was handcrafted by the the duo Jackie Cruse and Theresa Dogged. It is one of the first life-sized (6ft tall) Santas they created. The quality of their work is unparalleled having been featured in the Neiman Marcus Holiday Book (I believe in 2000), on display in the White House, the Texas Governors Mansion in addition to the Texas State Capitol Building. Jackie Cruse left Boyds venturing out on his own once again continuing to design and create custom hand-crafted Christmas figures.
We obtained this figure numerous years ago. We took great joy in displaying him in our home. He was placed in a floor to ceiling window looking out to a very quaint historic neighborhood resembling a small New England village.
Nicholas garnered a lot of attention having been a fabulous addition to our holiday decorations. We have since relocated and no longer have the space to utilize our beloved St. We also don't want him going to waste being stored in our garage. The figure is in very good condition and has had one repair that we made to one of the wheels on the train which can be seen in one of the photos. I think he could use a good brushing with a lint roller and maybe a some light cleaning to the bottom portion of his robe.
By the way, that robe is amazing. I would love to sport that on a could wintery day! We will assist in any way we can.I will crate him on a 48"x40" pallet approximately 6ft 4inches tall. Our zip code is 21601. A truck with lift gate will be needed.
