Super cute vintage Christmas decoration by Avon, c1999. This is animated "Santa Read Me a Story, " tested and in great working order. Place a book in Santa's hand to engage, and Santa reads the story, while nodding his head in animated fashion. There are 3 books/stories in all. EXCELLENT, clean, well-cared for condition. Santa sits in a green "velvet" chair. There are doilies draped over the head and arm rests.

He holds a white mug with a tree motif in his hand--probably filled with hot cocoa. He wears red velvet pants with fur trim, a plaid shirt, suspenders, wire rim glasses, shinny black boots with gold buckles. To his left, a book stand with deer antler bookends, and 3 story books (The Greatest Gift, Special Friend, Holiday Spirit). He's surrounded by a teddy bear, rocking horse, and his big red bag which holds a wrapped gift.

Requires 3 C batteries to operate (we have included 3 new batteries). Measures approximately 12 inches tall and 10 inches in diameter.
