1965 Santa Claus Bobble Head Candy Container with Original Box West Germany

  

"MISSION PAK SANTA CLAUS" BOBBLE HEAD CANDY CONTAINER - 1965 Mission Pak Co. 5.5" x 13" x 5. Painted hard plastic head with velvet-like paper mache / cardboard body (opens at waist, hollow inside for candy insertion).

Marked "Containers Made in Western Germany" on inside body (no candy contents). Great Christmas figural of a standing Santa with a painted face, fur-like beard/hat brim, felt/fabric-like accents & original artificial pine branch.

Head still bobs well on spring neck. Also included is the scarce "Mission Pak" original box (14" x 6" x 6). Box reads "Mission Pak Santa Claus Chock-full of delicious Fruit-Filled Candies" and Gifts of Sunshine from California! Original inner box packing cardboard & Mission Pak 4 page advertising brochure are also included. An attractive, brightly colored example.

Condition of NODDER is considered GOOD to FAIR with moderate surface/edge wear. Some sticker residue on back of head with no cracks or breaks. Moderate paint/scuff wear on head with mild crease wear on tip of hat. No paper/cardboard tears on body.

Condition of BOX is considered FAIR with miscellaneous surface/stain/edge wear. Scattered surface/staple tears (mainly on outer flap) with minimal corner edge separations. Moderate surface creasing with edge fraying on paper mailer label. Graphics are still bold and eye-catching.

Overall, we feel this is a very displayable example by most standards (see photos). An uncommon find for the discriminating CHRISTMAS, NODDER/BOBBER and/or VINTAGE CANDY CONTAINER enthusiast.
