Vintage German Santa Claus Candy Container Figure

  

This is a wonderful vintage Santa Claus candy container, circa 1930's/1940's, measures 7.5 tall. Santa has composition face and hands, painted features, rabbit fur beard, felt mustache, felt clothing, black ribbon belt, carries a gathered & tied cotton bag over his left shoulder, small feather sprig in his right hand, black composition boots, mica flake covered base. Base is 1 7/8" wide x 1.5" deep, has remnant of small blue'GERMANY' sticker on bottom of base.

Santa lifts off to reveal a large 3 3/8 red cardboard tube, adorned with Santa/Father Christmas sticker, crepe paper at top of tube and grosgrain ribbon at base of tube. Wear to sprig in Santa's hand. Wear to left side of felt mustache. Please note that Santa's hat and top of Santa's sleeves are simply adhered to body.
