RARE 31 VINTAGE MECHANICAL Harold Gale Santa Claus Christmas Store Display
Rare vintage mechanical store display Santa--Harold Gale?? About 31" tall on wood base, 3/4" tick, 11 1/2' deep & 15 wide, mica covered. When plugged in the Santa bends up and down while turning head & raising both arms. Motor is quiet and sound. Santa's body is pressed wood with an armature, and the head sits atop a post and round cylinder.
He has a molded face, with hand painted blue smiling eyes, rosy cheeks, red lips & yellowed curly faux hair eyebrows and mustache. His beard and hair are angel hair replacement?? Santa is dressed in a red velvet suit, red satin lined, trimmed in plush white along the coat edge & sleeves.
His cap is made the same as the clothing. His boots are white vinyl, his belt is white vinyl with a gold colored buckle and he has a gold sparkly vest. Mechanically sound--approximately 8' cord comes out the back of his left boot--works perfectly!
The base is grimy as shown in the photos. There is some paint wear to his face as shown in the photos.
This Santa probably dates from the 1960's-70's. Very well made-good condition for its' age.
