Large Antique Tinsmith Santa Claus Belsnickle Cookie Cutter 10.5 German

  

Offering this original very old hand made cookie cutter. It is a rare theme, a late 19th century Santa Claus or Belsnickle. Santa is in profile with pointed cap and long beard. He carries a sack with doll and horse toys and holds a stick.

This is a large cutter, measuring about 10.5" high by 4.5" wide by 5/8 deep. It has good weight at 7.8 ounces. There is a 1 piece of tin missing where the sack separates from the coat, see my last close up photo.

Appears to be made in Germany or American Pa Dutch origin. A very rare and hard to find cutter for the advanced collector.
