Antique German Santa Claus Riding Paper Mache Horse Cute

  

This is an antique German Santa riding a charming papier mache horse. Santa is hand painted, wears felt clothing, and has a rabbit fur beard. He carries a tiny feather tree and has a Made in Germany label on his boot. He measures 3 1/2 sitting.

The horse is flocked papier mache, has a mohair tail and nice trappings. He measures 5" nose to tail and is 5" to the top of his head. There is minor cracking of the papier mache under the tail and on the underside of the neck. Some of the flocking has worn away.

Neither detracts from the horse's appearance. Both horse and rider are in very nice condition. A cute Christmas pair for horse lovers.
